  • Support Education

Okay. Technically this is a raffle, but there have only been 5 entries so far. $1 for at least 10 chances at $50? I think thats a pretty good deal.  Plus the $1 goes to help fund projects for needy and deserving classrooms!

    It's pretty simple

Anyone who donates to any project on this page will be entered into a raffle for a $50 Amazon gift card. For donations between $1-$10, you will be given one entry per $1. For any donation over $10, you will be given 3 entries per dollar. If you complete a project, you will be given 5 entries per dollar given! For more info or to have your project added to this page please send me an e-mail mscarchick@aol.com

If you donate to one of my projects: Show and Tell History, History At Their Fingertips, or Engaging History Part 2 you will get an additional 10 entries.

  • $1 Surprise Raffle *Up to 9 items*

For those of you who don't know, I'm a teacher. One of my class's project is to get an HP laptop. We are currently down to about $260 on our donorschoose.org project. HP is going to fund 1/2, but the offer is for a limited time only. That's why I'm pushing so hard to get this project completed.  In order to help fund this project I'm going to run a Surprise Raffle. Here's how it will work. If you donate a $1 you get one entry to the raffle. If you donate $5 you get 7 entries. Anything over $5 you get twice as many entries as the $ you donate.  The winner will receive a Flat Rate Box full of goodies. Below are some pictures of what could be included.

To start with there will be the polka dot cosmetic case in the second picture and items worth at least $20.
With each additional donation, I will add one or two items. Each item added will be worth at least $5. As items are added I will post a list of what is included and additional photos.

Leave your name and email here to participate. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me at mscarchick@aol.com

Winner will be chosen when project is funded or by March 12th

I've had 7 donors so here's the list so far:

       1. Cosmetic Case
       2. Victoria's Secret Lotion
       3. Bath and Body Works Hand Soap
       4. 1 Glade Candle
    5. Covergirl Eye Shadow
    6. Covergirl Mascara
    7. Another Glade Candle
    8. "Quick" Cookbook
    9. "Quick Cookbook

The next donor will get another item added to the raffle. Could be one pictured or a surprise.

    Donate to find out....

  • My Students NEED Your Help (Giveaway)

We are out for ICE today so I thought it was kinda funny that my donorschoose.org project was approved today. Donorschoose.org is such a great resource that helps teachers fund essential projects for their classrooms. I'm not a big fan of soliciting help, but my students really need and deserve some items that the school/I am not able to provide them.

Please take a second to check out my project... Anyone who donates (ANY AMOUNT) will be entered into a drawing. I will use random.org to choose a winner (every week-two weeks depending on how many people participate) for a variety of prizes: Giftcards, features, etc. Just leave a comment here.  Thank you in advance!

Yes, they do take paypal! I particularly like that feature.

This Ipod Touch will help do both. One of our themes this year is to "engage not enrage" our students. We are attempting to use technology to improve the effectiveness of our lessons.A lot of my students do not have technology resources at home. The Ipod will help them view lessons that I've recorded as well as clips that they might have missed in class. I will also be able to use the Ipod as an enrichment activity for my students who are struggling. My accelerated students will also benefit from the added rigor interactive lessons can provide. This Ipod will engage and add an extra dimension to my history lessons.

@niki296 - No, thank you! Without people like you entering there wouldn't have been a contest. I do plan on doing another one soon (probably in January) so if you have any ideas or suggestions for a theme, send 'em my way!
